The Instrument Music Program at Eastwood Public School is a P&Cextracurricular program offered in school. It was run and coordinated by volunteer parents as a subcommittee of the Eastwood Public School P&C, but due to lack of volunteer parent helpers available to coordinate the program in 2023, we have outsource the majority of our ensembles program (Mini Strings, String Ensemble, String Orchestra and Woodwind Ensemble (formerly the Concert Band)) to Mrs. Fiona Caldarevic. Details about how to join her ensembles can be found at https://www.bestnotemusic.com.au/.
The Percussion Ensemble will still be runned by the Music committee and for all enquiries, please contact our volunteer parent Suzanna at [email protected]
Please visit the Contacts page for a full list of who to contact for various items.
The key objectives of the program are:
To promote the value of instrumental music as a life long skill to enhance social, emotional and intellectual well being
To enhance the overall primary school curriculum by providing children with high quality music ensemble experiences
To provide students with opportunities to perform, particularly in a group setting
To bring together the Eastwood Public School student and parent communities from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds through the promotion of a common enjoyment and interest in music.
